Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

Katy Ram Challenge – Katy, TX

The Katy Ram Challenge is a non-competitive bike ride held annually in Katy, TX to benefit the Mayde Creek High School MIGHTY Ram Band. The ride includes several courses ranging from a 12 mile family ride to a 76 mile endurance ride. Expect rolling meadows and farmland around the Katy / Brookshire area. Take the Challenge – We Dare You!!!

$25 through 4/8, $30 Day of Ride, Extra shirts $10 ea.

Make plans to enjoy a fabulous day of Texas springtime cycling in the luscious and calm county south of Dallas! For the 11th consecutive year, the Greater Dallas Bicyclists, together with the City of Lancaster, are hosting the Lancaster Country Ride. Lancaster is a mere 15 minutes from downtown Dallas. The first 1,000 riders registered will receive official Lancaster Country Ride socks.

Early Registration – $20.00
Regular Registration – $25.00
