Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

Tour d’ Temple 100 kilometer Bike Ride – Temple, TX

Frank Mayborn Convention Center, 3303 North 3rd St.

Welcome to the Tour d’Temple 100K. It will be an exciting and challenging tour through beautiful Bell County. Routes have been chosen for their scenic beauty and safety while providing a challenging ride for all levels. Ride start is at the Frank Mayborn Convention Center just off IH-35, approximately 30 miles South of Waco and 70 miles North of Austin. Highway signs will direct you to the complex.

Spokes ‘N Spurs Benefit Bike Ride – Liberty Hill, TX

Please join us for our 4th Annual Spokes ‘N Spurs Bike Ride to benefit Spirit Reins Ranch. Spokes ‘N Spurs is a BP MS 150 Recommended Ride. Course distances include 62.5, 44, 28, 14 miles & a 6 mile family ride. Riders enjoy beautiful views, gently rolling hills & wildlife of the Texas Hill Country.

Adults-$35. $45 after February 23rd. Kids 12 & under- $10. $15 after February 23rd.
