About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

2008 Wildflower Bike Ride – Cuero, TX

Texbiker.net Posted on December 26, 2007 by Rick AnkrumDecember 26, 2007

Cuero Municipal Park

Address: 110 Leonard Roy Harmon Drive , off Hwy 87 South, across from Cuero High School

The 2008 Wildflower Bike Ride is sponsored by the Anchor Club of Cuero, an active service organization at Cuero High School. The courses wind through some picturesque sites, including an old country church. SAG stops will offer bikers a chance to stop and view many years of local history — an added historic and pastoral dimension for those who like to “stop and smell the flowers”. We hope you will enjoy these special interests while you bike through our rural countryside.
