Brief Description
Ride like a professional! Join us for a fast 100 mile ride around San Antonio’s Loop 1604. Ride is escorted by SAPD motorcycle police. Three SAG vehicles will be on hand to provide nutrition at key points during the ride. Group will stay together as a peloton and ride at 20mph. Duration of the ride is approximately 5 hours. Also included is an event t-shirt and post ride pizza party!

Additional Information
SAG vehicles will be available for riders needing to rest for a few miles. Rider will be transported ahead of the peloton to reconnect. Electrolyte replacement, water, bananas and gels or bars will also be provided.

Ride the spectacular northern Texas Hill Country roads – quiet breathtakingly beautiful and if you chose, a little bit challenging. Rides range from 29 miles to 80 miles. We encourage all riders to come out and ride!

Sign up for the Pasta Dinner on Friday night at a cost of $7-50. Dinner will be served at the Somervell Citizen’s Center between 7pm – 9pm on the Square. Dinner will consist of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, banana pudding and a soft drink. The pasta dinner will be a fundraiser for the Somervell Council of the Aged. Enjoy free pizza after the ride on Saturday! Plan on spending the weekend in Glen Rose. The area offers a great selection of overnight accommodations from camping to B&B’s to luxurious lodges. Proceeds from this year’s ride will benefit LDL Educational Resources Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to support education, health and environmental projects for the youth & adults of Somervell and adjacent counties.

Individual Reg: $35 until 9/12, then $45. Family: $75 until 9/12, then $85
The Raven Ride will start at the Target parking lot in Huntsville, TX.

Your ride options include a short 20 mile round trip ride to Huntsville Visitors Center and the Sam Houston Statue (shuttle provided back to start/finish for those that desire a shorter 10 mile ride). Riders may also elect to ride the 33 mile Possum Walk Loop through the rolling wooded hills if up for more of a challenge.

Riders that desire a longer ride can delve deeper into the Sam Houston National Forest past Lake Stubblefield on either the 51-mile San Jacinto River Bottom Trail or the 61-mile Koon Trail route. (This is a road ride; all routes are on paved FM roads or State Highways.)

* Ride starts at 8:00am with no riders leaving after 8:30am
* Course closes at 2:30pm
* Rest stops will be available throughout the ride
* SAG vehicles will be patrolling the routes to help with medical troubles and to pick up riders with any problems (please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor problems)
* We will be serving Brisket for lunch after the ride free to all riders
