This great adventure will start Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 with Packet  Pick-Up at Fort Richardson State Park, on the southern edge of Jacksboro, Texas, from 4 to 7 PM and Sat. from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. We’ll offer a Spaghetti Dinner and Ice Cream contest hosted by Friends of Fort Richardson (small additional fee) and Living History exhibits.  The Fort will be open for your viewing pleasure.

Saturday,  Oct 9—We’ll roll out of Fort Richardson at 8 AM  and head through Jacksboro, Graham and Fort Belknap, then on to the overnight in Throckmorton.

Sunday, Oct 10—An 8 AM start will point us south to Fort Griffin and Albany then east to Mankins Mill and Breckenridge, our next overnight.

Monday, Oct 11—We’ll head out again at 8 AM and cruise to Palo Pinto and Mineral Wells,  then we’ll head north to Graford and back to Jacksboro and Fort Richardson.

Too Much TV to Watch and Too Little Time – May 17th Bike Ride

With both the Giro d’Italia and The Amgen Tour of California on TV I am hard pressed to watch the 4+ hours I have recorded and get my bike ride in this evening. Add in my continuing issues with Tracfone customer service and my time to watch is not near long enough. I never thought I would complain about too much bike race coverage on TV.

This evening’s ride was enjoyable with overcast skies, 80 degrees and a mild 7 mph ESE breeze. At times it felt cool which is unusual at this time but there is rain in the area. No serious riders were sighted.

Today’s ride statistics:
