I did not ride any organized rides this month. With a full month of daylight savings time I was able to increase the miles I rode in the evening after work. Combining that with no major weather disruptions and I was able to meet and exceed my goal of 550 miles. Other highlights for the [...] (I corrected some of the statistics because I left off a day.) March was not an easy month like January and February in regards to meeting or beating my mileage goal. Between the weather (March is lamb or lion according to legend) and out of state commitments, I missed equaling my March average of 347 [...] The goal for February was to be 20% over my February average mile. Well I rode 348 miles which is 39% over the 249 average. Thanks to temperatures above the norm and little to no rain I was able to go on two organized rides (Puddles for Duck and Humble Lions Club) plus ride after [...] |

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling. My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there. Thanks to my wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.
