(Children under 10 years of age invited to ride free with paid adult/parent registration.)The Family Tour pedals along the San Antonio River on the historic Mission Trails from Mission Concepcion to Mission Espada. The route is principally on hike and bike paths with opportunities to visit four of the five Spanish Missions. A 15 mile option meets BSA merit badge requirements.
The Extended Tours stretch beyond the Mission Trails along city and county roads toward Braunig Lake. The 34 mile route proceeds past Mission Espada on to 410, 122 to Braunig Lake along Old Corpus Christi Hwy and back. The 58 mile route continues south on “Old Corpus Christi Road” , FM 327 to 1604 and through the community of Elmendorf along “El Camino Real” (Spanish Colonial Royal Road) and north on Stuart Rd. & Foster to 181, 122 and “Old Corpus Christi Road” and back to start via Hike & Bike trail.
Tour de Muleshoe – Muleshoe, TX
The Fifteenth Annual Heritage Foundation Tour de Muleshoe rolls along scenic farmland and sandhills for you to ride either fast or slow as you choose. This is not a race– enjoy yourself. Each entry will receive a ticket to our Spaghetti Dinner, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm Saturday.
All three rides start at the Bailey County Coliseum, 2206 W American Blvd, Muleshoe, Texas, at 9:00 a.m. and follow a triangle course: the 10 mile is flat with good shoulders, one rest stop at halfway; the 40 mile begins with small rolling hills for the first 10 miles, followed by 12 miles of scenic sandhills, ending in 18 miles of small smooth ups and downs; the 100k follows similar road conditions for longer distances, all end back in Muleshoe at the starting line.
Pre-registration accepted thru June 13th. Pre-registrants are eligible for a drawing for $500 in cold hard cash. Late registration is accepted the day of the race between 7:00- 9:00 am at the Bailey County Coliseum, 2206 West American Blvd. Ride packets will not be mailed; they may be picked up Saturday morning before the ride. Packets include water bottle, ride number, route map, collector T-shirt, and meal ticket.
Tour de Paris – Paris, TX
All routes will start with a ride through beautiful, historic Downtown Paris! Routes will still start and finish at the Love Civic Center.
Routes: 8.4 miles, 24.1 miles, 39 miles, and 61 miles.
- 6-8 a.m. Late registration, packet pick up, and all-you-can-eat carbo-loaded Pancake Breakfast at Love Civic Center
