AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin area bike shop has been hit by thieves five times between its two locations since February, and one shop has a giant hole in the front of it as a result of the latest one early Thursday.
The Peddler bike shop owner AJ Camp says surveillance video from a coffee shop next door shows a truck ramming through the front of his Hyde Park store, then a white van with four people pulled up and started loading it up with bikes.

ABILENE, TX – The BikeTown bicycle shop building in Abilene suffered damage during an early morning fire on Thursday.
According to the Abilene Fire Department, the fire began at approximately 1:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the scene they found heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the building.
No one was injured in the fire and the business was not open at the time of the blaze.
The cause of the fire and the estimated damages have not been determined at this time.

After approving an ordinance in May that would lower the speed limit on Texas 105 to 45 mph from Conroe to Montgomery during a state construction project, the Conroe City Council revisited the issue during its workshop meeting Wednesday.
During the council’s May 26 workshop, Director of Engineering and Capital Projects Tommy Woolley presented the information to the council regarding the Texas Department of Transportation’s desire to lower the speed limit from 55 mph to 45 mph during the project. …
… According to TxDOT’s website, the project will improve safety and reduces crashes, improve mobility, reduce congestion, provide different means of travel and improve accessibility by creating safer travel to land development.
The improvements include left and dual left turns, right turn lanes, raised medians, traffic signal modifications, signal timing improvements, sidewalk connections, ADA compliant curb ramps, improved pedestrian signals, improved shoulders and bicycle accommodations.

With a very heavy heart, I have to let rider’s know that the back 1000 acre’s at Rockyhill Ranch did sell. They will be putting up signs to keep rider’s/runner’s out pretty soon.
On a good note! The new owner is going to let me have one last "Fat Chucks Final Revenge", using all the back trails in late December this year.
We will be creating some more trails on the front 300 acre’s. I’m planning on having some marked before I leave for the Summer. So if you are interested in helping cut some new trails at the ranch. Let me know! …
