About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

If you’re familiar with events like Red River Riot, Hell of the North, and Texas Chainring Massacre, then you’re familiar with The Spinistry (whether you know it or not). Of course, there are shorter options of 40-60ish miles for …

TWHS and UT grad Sajatovic biking over 4,000 miles for cancer research

By Kelly Schafler | www.chron.com

Nick Sajatovic never was much of a cyclist when he lived in The Woodlands – even with the abundance of bike trails. While he considered himself an athlete, Sajatovic joked that he didn’t own anything nicer than a “Walmart bike” in high school.
After graduating from The Woodlands High School in 2013, Sajatovic embarked on his academic career at The University of Texas in Austin to achieve supply chain management and geography degrees. It was during the fall of his freshman year that he learned about an exclusive …

By STEVE KUHLMANN | www.theeagle.com

Texas A&M University could see its era of expansive growth continue over the next two decades and beyond, according to the university’s recently released 2017 Campus Master Plan.
