About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.

USA Cycling Rebates Over $20,000 to TBRA

Texbiker.net Posted on March 6, 2007 by Rick AnkrumMarch 6, 2007

USA Cycling as part of its rebate program from the race licenses will send $20,835 to the Texas Bicycle Racing Association. Texas Bicycling Racing Association will receive the third largest amount following The Southern California/Nevada Cycling Association’s $32,645 and The New England Bicycle Racing Association’s $30,300.

The Local Association Rebate Program began in 2003 in order to invest in, grow and support grassroots racing at the local level. Under the program’s guidelines, USA Cycling remits $10 back to each Local Association for each road- and track-specific annual license it sells, plus another $5 for each mountain bike and junior license it sells to individuals in its respective zip code-defined geographic location.
