Texbiker.net Posted on September 5, 2016 by Rick AnkrumSeptember 5, 2016

After finishing today’s ride (12:22) on the “Oakhurst – Cumberland – Valley Ranch” route by the time I walked from the back door to our master bedroom I could hear rain drops hitting the skylight. Good timing. I punched the … Continue reading →

Boats and Bikes Bicycle Ride

Texbiker.net Posted on September 4, 2016 by Rick AnkrumSeptember 4, 2016

I kept the ride shorter today but enough to move September’s miles to 101. Biking the “Atascocita – Walden – E. Lake Houston Parkway” route for a total of 27.26 miles was enough to do that. Week to date was … Continue reading →

Beautiful fall like weather on today’s bike ride on the “New Caney – Roman Forest Loop – Valley Ranch” route. I stopped after entering Tavola and took these pictures. I didn’t realize I was so serious when I took the … Continue reading →

Texbiker.net Posted on September 2, 2016 by Rick AnkrumSeptember 2, 2016

Today’s ride kicked off September biking. I chose the “Atascocita – Walden – Huffman Extended” route but extended it even further by adding some streets in Elm Grove Village in Kingwood. I rode 35.67 miles. Usually this route is a … Continue reading →

About Texbiker.net

Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.

My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.

Thanks to my late wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.

My primary bike is the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS below. My titanium bike is the Lynskey Helix titanium. My newest bike is a Canyon Endurace CF 7 Rival eTap.
