Yearly Mileage Goal
As 2006 nears an end I am trying to reach the mileage goal I set back in January. I am 47 miles short. Tuesday I went for a ride even though my self-imposed minimum outside temperature was not going to make it. This brought back memories of riding in below 30 degree weather many years ago although it was only 55 degrees. What a south Texas wimp I have become. With several days to go there are still opportunities to cut that 47 mile deficit down. Now if the rain will hold off.

Good luck. Would you care to share the number of miles?
I too am a south Texas, cold weather wimp. I’m sure your miles are more than mine, especially since I took up mountain biking this year. It has cut into my road riding time.
My 2007 resolution is to get more miles on both my road and my mountain bike. It’s a tough job, but…

My goal for 2006 is 4,800 miles. This is mostly road miles but I do use my mountain bike for about 600 to 800 miles. Mountain biking is during the time when there is no daylight savings and I ride after sundown.
