The third annual Heads or Tails Cycling Time Trial may not have garnered the same attention or attendance as the nearby Gusher Marathon, but race director Amie James says she is excited about the race’s growth.
The event saw its largest turnout since the race began in 2014 with roughly 150 participants competing in 21 categories of all age groups that ranged from 10- to 40-kilometer time trials.
“What I really love is how many people come from outside of Beaumont to do this event,” James said. “Don’t get me wrong, we have plenty of locals, but it’s nice to see some new people, to shake it up a little.”
