Marion City Officials Hear Plans for FM78

The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing that FM 78 be widened from Gembler Road east to Cunningham Street to the west.
The proposed widening would add a center lane with acceleration lanes and 5-foot bicycle lanes on either side of the road.
The Great Austin to Shiner Pedal – Austin, TX
Shiner Beers is going back to its roots in anticipation of the Spoetzl Brewery’s 100th Anniversary. Shiner BASH was formerly Shiner GASP, which was the Great Austin to Shiner Pedal, and the beginning of Shiner’s biking history. This year we will be returning to Shiner’s past and once again have Shiner GASP, one Great bike ride from Austin to Shiner.
Cyclists will depart from Austin and ride 90 miles through small towns and scenic byways on the way to the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas.
Cyclists will begin their trek at 7 a.m. from Austin.Website
