I will have a short ride to La Grange so I started later than usual. It was cloudy but pleasant temperature. I can feel higher humidity but not unbearable.
I rode into La Grange about noon time. Met a local guy in DQ, who told me about a two day ride from Austin to Houston with La Grange as the mid point. Had the afternoon to explore the historic downtown area. There are plaques talking about local history. It’s very educational especially for local people but today is Tuesday and most people are here for the business. …

The County has approved a new section of trail that goes from the intersection of Rim and Bob Ross over to the Jeep Road. The plan for Saturday is to remove brush, trim trees, remove stumps, harvest rocks for a creek crossings, and start work on a major bench cut.

The Permian Basin Bicycle Association will host the annual Veterans Day Ride starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at CPL Ray’s located at 3111 Faudree Road in Odessa.
The ride will honor local veterans and support their participation in the Trail Warrior Project.
