The terrain had promise for a great ride, we even started out with no wind…lasted 10 miles, then headwinds, headwinds, headwinds all day. We had to scrape for every inch, all the way into town.
Started the day with a great breakfast at the V6, part of the Gage restaurant. Very good.
Great scenery across the desert and the terrain keeps changing. We wore three layers, face masks, full booties and that north wind was still cutting. All day. Great for duck hunting, not so much for touring with wide panniers. Nonetheless, it was a good ride. The ride had a significant net descent, but we never saw it. 5,000 riders gear up for 14th annual Tour de Houston

HOUSTON – Roughly 5,000 bicyclists from all over Texas took to the streets this St. Patrick’s Day for the annual Tour de Houston.
The ride helps to promote exercise and to replant trees around Houston, benefiting the replant Houston program.
