COLLEGE STATION, Texas — More than 7,500 cyclists will be crossing the finish line at Kyle Field in the college station this weekend for the Texas MS 150. After a three-year hiatus, the largest multiple sclerosis fundraising events in the country is back in lone star state.
"Texas A&M University and Bryan College Station have been great partners through all of this and that’s what we really need. We need a place that’s really going to be welcoming to all of our cyclists and in turn our cyclists and their families, our volunteers will certainly be out and about this weekend and staying in the hotels, going into the restaurants, and going into the bars.

From Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, this month’s Get Involved spotlight organization:
Ghisallo Cycling Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011 with programs in Austin and San Antonio. The name “Ghisallo” derives from the patron saint of cycling, Madonna del Ghisallo. We envision a community of comfortable and confident lifelong riders and our mission is to enable historically underserved populations to access their interests by bicycle.
Ghisallo has three programmatic divisions segmented by age group:
-- Cycle Academy (https://cycleacademy.org) is focused on enabling youth to develop into self-sufficient and confident riders who have the skills and knowledge to use their bicycles for transportation without depending on adults. With a focus on exploration, navigation, and transportation, we create the opportunity for youth to explore and connect with their communities, to learn to navigate and access the city, and to use their bikes for transportation to the park, the pool, their friend’s house, and school.
-- City Cyclist (https://citycyclist.org) is focused on adults as well as the general public ...

I slept great on a couch in the front room of Warm Showers hosts Manu and Jane in Marfa. Last night after dinner we had sat outside and listened to the roar of distant thunder. I got up this morning when I heard Manu making coffee. I took a wefe before Jane headed off to work. It was clear and sunny, and 58°F. The wind was forecast to be out of the north today. In addition to the usual I was wearing my sweater, leg-warmers, and socks. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. I rode back into the center of town to return to the route. I then stopped at a Stripes for a Starbucks Triple Shot Energy Cafe Mocha, an Orchard pure 100% orange juice, and a pack of Hostess coffee cakes.
I was on US90 heading north to Van Horn. There would be …
