A church and a cycling community are coming together early Sunday morning for a memorial bike ride honoring a slain cyclist.

Michael Argall, 45, a cycling coach, Travis County Sheriff’s employee and Air Force veteran, was killed June 28th on U.S. 290 in Fredericksburg.

The woman who hit him told investigators the sun got in her eyes and she couldn’t see him.

My husband, Chris, and I do the ride each spring, when we participate in the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center Pedal Power Wildflower Ride. The loop, also popular among bluebonnet-peeping motorcyclists, is part of the fundraiser’s 60-mile route.”
