The flat land here is quite different from the hills to mountains I encountered while I was on vacation. The weather here has a definite Fall feel to it. The weather was warmer today than on my Sunday ride but the hills are still here. It was 70.3 degrees, scattered clouds, 81% humidity, breeze from the WSW at 2.0 mph and gusts of 7.0 mph. I grew up in Zanesville but when I lived here I was not into bicycling in the way I am now. One thing I have to get used to is the amount of hills. Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling. My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there. Thanks to my wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.
