Today is the last day in Zanesville. The weather was warmer today than on my Sunday ride but the hills are still here. It was 70.3 degrees, scattered clouds, 81% humidity, breeze from the WSW at 2.0 mph and gusts of 7.0 mph. Because of this I was able to ride without [...]

Yesterday we arrived in Zanesville, OH from Hershey, PA. I grew up in Zanesville but when I lived here I was not into bicycling in the way I am now. One thing I have to get used to is the amount of hills. In the years past when I have brought my [...]
By Rick Ankrum, on July 29, 2010, 11:49 pm This week’s email newsletter from Dr. Mirkin has two subjects that I think are valuable to bicyclists. The link will not be active until 8/1/10.

About Texbiker.net Texbiker.net covers the news, events and resources for those interested in Texas bicycling.
My bicycling passion was rekindled in 1979 with a Huffy bicycle from Woolco. From early rides around my neighborhood my enthusiasm grew to tackle my unsupported first century. From there I discovered organized rides all over Texas, races and mountain bikes. Many bikes and miles later the enthusiasm is still there.
Thanks to my wife, Hazel Marie, for her support over the many years, miles and rides.
In 1999 Texbiker.net was born to help my fellow bikers have ready access to all of the information about the Texas bicycling scene.
